Glossary of terms
Artistic performances include, in particular, the activities of actors, reciters, conductors, instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers and mimes, as well as other persons who contribute creatively to the creation of a performance. Each such artistic performance of a work or a piece of folk art is protected regardless of its value, purpose, or form of expression. This means that an artistic performance includes, for example, performing an acting role in a film, TV series, or televised theatre production, recording dubbing, or performing an acting role in a radio play.

a common term for devices/items used to copy works or objects of related rights for personal private use (e.g. CDs, DVDs, or memory cards).

Collective Management Organization
the section indicated in the resolution on admission as a member with non-distributive status, or in the resolutions referred to in § 70(5) and (8) of the ZASP Statute; the non-distributive section in which a member with non-distributive status exercises active and passive voting rights.

any person who holds rights to artistic acting performances or copyright in audiovisual works, or has a legal title to revenues from those rights, within the scope covered by ZASP’s authorization.
a work within the meaning of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights in the form of a radio broadcast (including a radio play), an audiobook, or another audio form.
a natural person, a legal person, or an organizational unit without legal personality but with legal capacity under the law, that exploits artistic performances or audio works in a manner requiring the consent of rightholders or the payment of remuneration to them in connection with the use of artistic performances or audio works, or carries out activities requiring the payment of fees to rightholders in accordance with the Act on Copyright and Related Rights.
